SWEP Protocol Extended to January 13th 2025

SEVERE WEATHER EMERGENCY PROTOCOL (SWEP)

EXTENDED UNTIL MONDAY 13TH JANUARY 2025

Further to our e-mail on Monday 6nd January, we are writing to inform you that we have reviewed the situation, and, in light of the Met Office's current weather forecast, we have decided to extend the provision of the severe weather accommodation until the morning of MONDAY 13TH JANUARY 2025.

Northampton Hope Centre have extended hours during this period and will be open on Saturday and Sunday between the hours of 9am – 5pm.

All known rough sleepers are being made aware, however, if you know someone who is sleeping rough in the West Northants area and needs access to accommodation, please advise them to contact the Council on 0300 126 7000.

It is important to remember that advice and assistance is available all year round to anybody sleeping rough in the West Northants area, so if you know of anyone rough sleeping in our area, please see details attached of how to notify the Street Outreach Team.
