A huge thank you to everyone who helped to plant trees at the weekend in Ladybridge Park
. There was a great turnout and lovely to see so many children getting stuck in, digging holes, and planting a mix of trees. We planted next to the bund running alongside the road between the two car parks, and along the right-side fence in the football field. There were 750 native trees planted and more to come over the next few weeks.
Special thanks to Iain Welters and his family, and Able Mortgages Ltd who kindly provided the trees. Iain is a Northamptonshire Estate Agent who has pledged to plant 10 trees for every completion. Thanks also to Adam and Tom from the WNC Parks team for helping to make this happen. We’re hugely grateful that you chose Ladybridge Park for this tree planting.
We’re really proud of our parks and the range of biodiversity and natural habitats across our parish. If you’ve got ideas for doing more for climate and nature in West Hunsbury, we’d love to hear them — feel free to message me or email cllr.d.garrett@westhunsburyparishcouncil.gov.uk
